Season pass trip 2

We flew down to Southern California for a few days at the happiest place on earth (for my birthday!).  When we got on the plane the pilot whisked the kids away and put them in her seat.

The best part of the trip?  Being with these guys!  LOVE!
 Carter loooooooves Pooh Bear!
We went to Goofy's kitchen for dinner.  It was really fun!

And look who else we ran in to?  We had no idea they were going to be there.  Cute Trevor and Addison!
Although Tyler and Carter had the best time!  They have always loved each other.  Such cute kiddos!!
I tried taking a few pictures of the girls in front of the castle on our last day there with them, but it was a little bright.  squint!
On the train...these are a little better!

 Addison loves her dad!
yay!  Carter got chosen to fight Darth Vader!  He loved every minute of it!
and then got to build his very own light saber!

Last pictures with the Jones' before we flew home.
Again...we're facing the wrong way!  Guess we could have turned around.  oh well.
It was an awesome trip!  We can't wait to go back.

Alcatraz

Addison had an assignment for school to visit a landmark, and she chose Alcatraz, so while the kids were off school for Christmas break, we headed into the city and took a tour.  We have not even begun to scratch the surface of the amazing city of San Francisco, but we love it so much!
It was cold, and we got sprinkled on as we were heading back from Alcatraz, but really I have been pleasantly surprised at the weather in the city almost every time we have gone.  (We are on the other side of the Caldecott tunnel so we don't very often get fog or the same weather as the city).

Carter actually did not love it.  He said it was scary!  The audio tour includes lots of sound effects and it kind of freaked him out.  His face in this picture is so funny.  When Marty and Addison went into a cell he kept saying "Get OUT!"  He was very worried that the cell would actually shut and they would be stuck.

Cars Land is SO.MUCH.FUN!

And so darn cute.  The lines were crazy for Radiator Springs Racers but we were able to ride it a few times (so fun!)  Cute Max and Wendy went into the park at 7:00 one morning and waited to get fast passes for more than an hour and when they could only get two (because the rest of us were sleeping and not in the park), THEY GAVE THEIR PASSES to Carter and Marty.  Love that family!  Max and Addison have resigned themselves that we will be taking pictures for their wedding video until...well, they get married (or don't).  ;)

All ready for Christmas!

okay, that is a lie.  Not even a little bit ready.
But seeing this picture of Carter puts a smile on my face so I thought I'd share (painted by his cute sister).

We are so excited for our first Christmas in California!  We're kicking it off by a trip to Disneyland!

Shooting

I haven't been shooting for years.  I forgot how much I love it!  My kids loved it too!  We were lined up for a picture and I snapped this one.  I am lucky to have all of these amazing people in my life.
Uncle Greg giving us a safety lesson.  I love my brothers!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

So, so much to be thankful for!  I love Thanksgiving because you get to be with people you love and not have to worry about anything but eating, which we love to do, and being grateful!

We are so glad Marty's family came down to spend Thanksgiving with us!
We missed Jordan, the Louisiana Stewart's and my dad, but it was so, so fun to have everyone else together.
We had 3 turkeys!
Love this cute Cole.  I was outside watching the turkey in the deep fryer and he asked me about every minute how much longer until it's done.  Then he ate an entire leg!

I love this picture of the view from their back deck.  I took a bunch of pictures of all the people, but not with my camera.
